Ang Li

Dr Ang Li is a Research Fellow at the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Healthy Housing, Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne.

Her research interests are in social and environmental determinants of health using social epidemiology and health econometrics methodologies. Her current work focuses on the nexus between housing and health over the life course and the role of housing in mitigation and adaptation to the health impact of climate change and extreme weather. She has expertise in applying econometrics and causal modelling to assess housing and health inequalities using longitudinal, administrative, and linked data. She has received multiple early career researcher grants in recent years. 

She previously worked as a health econometrician at the University of Sydney and Sydney Local Health District, applying econometrics and statistics to evaluate health services, clinical interventions, and public policies. 

Her PhD thesis on housing and fertility was awarded Walter Noel Gillies Prize for Best PhD Thesis in Economics by Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Sydney.
