Leah Ward

Feminists United Australia

Leah Ward is founder of Feminists United Australia and spokesperson on the impact of covid-19 on health and social sector workforces.  Leah has 15 years’ experience in direct patient care, both in aged care and as a psychiatric nurse. 

Leah organises around the privatisation of essential caring services, women’s access to healthcare and workplace gender equality.

Leah is also a writer and organiser for the global SlutWalk movement in Australia, calling for an end to slut shaming, victim blaming and rape culture. She is a member of the International Working Women's Day coordinating committee and cohost of the podcast 'Loud, Angry & Not Sorry' which discusses politics and current events through a feminist lens.
