Jono La Nauze
Jono La Nauze is CEO of Environment Victoria – Victoria’s peak body for environment issues established in 1969.
Jono has been an influential player in some of Australia’s toughest environmental campaigns. These include the creation of the first Murray-Darling Basin Plan, and in negotiating historic alliances between environment groups and Traditional Owners as part of the River Red Gum Forests campaign which led to new National Parks in Victoria and NSW.
Jono studied Arts at University of Melbourne and Business at the QUT, and was the Inaugural winner of the Jill Reichstein Social Change Award in 2014.
Jono is a regular contributor to The Age opinion pages and a seasoned radio spokesperson. Jono can provide comment on Victoria's clean energy transition, energy efficiency and housing and the gas industry.
