Fida Hussain

Fida Hussain is an experienced and dedicated case manager as well as an advocate who has recently completed his Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of International Relations at the University of South Australia. Fida’s experience and contribution across various fields including migration law, the high school system and community organisations is well known and respected. 

Fida has a great passion in community work, especially in developing youth related programs, particularly to benefit those from disadvantaged and marginalised communities. This is driven by his experience of his journey to Australia as a teenager. His fluency in 4 languages including English, Dari, Persian and Urdu, plays a key role in his connection with the CALD communities.

A recipient of The Governor’s Multicultural Youth Award, Fida also received a Golden Key Award in recognition of being in the top fifteen percentile in academic results at university. As part of his involvement in the community, Fida is the treasurer of the Ghan Kilburn FC and a surf lifesaver at West Beach. He is also a member of Welcoming Australia’s Advisory panel and was recently honoured for his contribution with a Life Membership Award. 

In his free time, Fida enjoys hiking, scuba diving and meeting people from diverse backgrounds.
